A new Defence funding bill will allow American citizens to be arrested as terrorists on American soil and held indefinitely without trial. Reported in the Guardian, Human Rights groups accused President Obama of disregarding the long-established principle that the military should not be used in domestic policing.

2011 Encyclopedia of Science Fiction Online
The third edition of the Encyclopedia of Science Fiction is to be released online with text to be available for free. A beta version will be released late 2011 and will contain some 3 million words, including about 12,000 entries and over 100,000 internal links.
